06 / About

David Samson

Senior technology leadership grounded in hands-on engineering.

David Samson

I am a technology consultant, software architect, and hands-on engineer with more than fifteen years of experience designing, modernising, stabilising, and delivering software systems.

I currently work as a Senior Software Development Engineer at Mineware Consulting, leading design and delivery of enterprise mine-management applications—while also helping organisations through techiedavid when they need architecture leadership, modernisation, or senior hands-on delivery.

I work with organisations that need more than recommendations on a slide. My role can include clarifying the technical direction, shaping architecture, improving delivery, guiding engineering teams, and taking direct responsibility for critical implementation work.

My experience spans technical leadership, solution architecture, full-stack engineering, cloud delivery, identity and access, distributed and operational platforms, production troubleshooting, AI-enabled capabilities, and pragmatic modernisation of systems that must continue serving the business while they evolve.

I am equally comfortable leading technical conversations and working directly in the codebase—turning requirements into architecture, reviewing design and implementation, resolving difficult engineering problems, and delivering production software across established enterprise stacks and modern application platforms.

More than 15 years in software engineering—from hands-on product delivery to architecture and technical leadership across mining technology, analytics, healthcare, and enterprise platforms.
